Spinal anomalies in children might occur later in life or may be present from birth. Among the most common anomalies are kyphosis, spondylolysis, and pediatric scoliosis. Congenital scoliosis, neuromuscular scoliosis, and teenage idiopathic scoliosis are among the various forms of pediatric scoliosis. Among juvenile spinal anomalies, scoliosis, kyphosis, and spondylolysis are the most common ones. The abnormal curvature of the spine is caused by kyphosis and scoliosis, whereas spondylolysis causes the pars interarticularis, a vertebral part, to separate from the rest of the vertebra.Children may develop scoliosis, kyphosis, or spondylolisthesis, three types of juvenile spine deformities. Kyphosis and scoliosis both involve abnormal curvature of the spine. Spondylolisthesis is the term used to describe a misaligned vertebra.
